Jorge da Costa Pires (born 1 April 1981) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his career in LigaPro, totalling over 324 matches and a record 113 goals for six teams and being top scorer three times. Additionally, he played 42 Primeira Liga games and scored 11 goals in two spells with Portimonense. Club career Born in Amares, Braga District, Pires spent his youth career with FC Amares and S.C. Braga. He made his senior debut with the former in the fourth division before moving into the latter's reserve team in the third. He then had brief lower league spells at C.D. António José Pinheiro de Carvalho (born 14 January 1993), known as Tozé, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Emirati club Al-Nasr SC as a midfielder. Penalty Kick (association Football)
A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Procedure The ball is placed on the penalty mark, regardless of where in the penalty area the foul occurred. The player taking the kick must be identified to the referee. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. Fans held a collection for Stephenson, and presented him with a hat bought with the proceeds. The term was used in print for the first time in 1865 in the ''Chelmsford Chronicle''. The 2017–18 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons) was the 84th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. João Paulo Dias Fernandes (born 9 November 1992), commonly known as Paulinho, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP as a striker.
