Jorge A. Herrera Soto (born September 4, 1972) is a former international freestyle swimmer from Puerto Rico. He started swimming at the age of seven in Round Hill Swimming Team. Among other competitions, Herrera participated in the 1990 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mexico, the 1991 6th World Swimming Championships in Australia, the 1991 Pan American Games in Cuba, the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Edmonton, Canada, and the 1992 Summer Olympics. His best World Ranking result was a 10th place @ the 6th World Championships in Perth in the Men's 400m Freestyle (3:54.01). Jorge Herrera (born 11 September 1980) is a former Colombian professional footballer. Career Jorge has received many high awards from the Colombian Football Federation and from the South American Football Confederation. South America Herrera spent most of his early professional career in his native Colombia, playing for Independiente Santa Fe, Atlético Nacional, Deportes Quindío and Millionarios. He also played briefly for Huracán in Argentina and Club Guaraní in Paraguay before coming to the United States. United States Herrera signed with Charlotte Eagles of the USL Second Division in 2007, and immediately made an impact, scoring a goal and registering five assists in his first five games until problems with his visa led to him having to return to Colombia. The Casualties are an American hardcore punk band from New York City, founded by vocalist Jorge Herrera, Hank (guitar), Colin Wolf (vocals), Mark Yoshitomi (bass) and Yureesh Hooker (drums) in 1990. In July 2017, it was announced on the band's Facebook page that original frontman Jorge Herrera had officially retired from touring.
