Jorge Henrique Papf
Jorge Henrique Papf (1863 in Berlin – 1920 in Petrópolis) was a German-Brazilian photographer and painter who lived during the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Considered to be an excellent photographer of landscapes, he took the landscapes that illustrated the ''Guia de Petrópolis'' (''Petrópolis Guide'') of 1885, and also photographed a panorama with a circular perspective of 360° of the city of Petrópolis, in 1898. Petrópolis
Petrópolis (; ), also known as The Imperial City, is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the Southeast Region, Brazil, Southeast Region of Brazil. Karl Ernst Papf
Karl Ernst Papf, or Ernesto Papf (March 17 1833 – March 16 1910) was a German-born Brazilian photographer, painter and designer. Papf was a prominent figure in the genre of ''fotopinturas'', the process of retouching photographs to make them resemble oil paintings, having produced several portraits for the Brazilian Imperial Family. Alberto Henschel
Alberto Henschel (13 June 1827 Ermakoff 2004, p. 174. – 30 June 1882 Ermakoff 2004, p. 175.) was a German-Brazilian photographer born in Berlin. Considered the hardest-working photographer and businessman in 19th-century Brazil, Vasquez 2000, p. 11. with offices in Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo,Vasquez 2000, p. 109. Henschel was also responsible for the presence of other professional photographers in the country, including his compatriot Karl Ernst Papf—with whom he later worked.
