Jorge Goncalvez (racing Driver)
Jorge Andrés Goncalves, now spelling his last name Goncalvez, (born June 14, 1991) is a Venezuelan racing driver from Los Teques. Racing career Early career After karting, Goncalvez began his auto racing career in Formula Renault Campus France in 2007, finishing 14th. In 2008 he raced in Formula BMW USA for the Apex-HBR Racing Team and finished 7th. In 2009 Goncalvez moved to the Star Mazda Championship with AIM Autosport and finished 9th. After winning the 2009–2010 Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear Winter Series with Team Apex, Goncalvez returned to Team Apex for the full 2010 campaign. He finished fourth in points with five second-place finishes but no wins or poles. Indy Lights In 2011 Goncalvez signed with Belardi Auto Racing to compete in IndyCar's Firestone Indy Lights series. The Circuit Trois-Rivières is a street circuit in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. The circuit has been the home of the annual Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, the longest-running street race in North America, since 1967. Autobahn Country Club is an auto racing road course located in Joliet, Illinois, operated as a country club, while also hosting many outside events. Autobahn was the first purpose-built motorsports country club in the United States, and has inspired several others. The club has a sanctioning body called Autobahn Member Racing, which hosts series for Spec Miatas, GT cars, karts, Radical Sportscars, a discipline called Chase Racing similar to bracket racing, open wheel cars, as well as competitions for rallycross and autocross. Iowa Speedway is a 7/8-mile (1.4 km) paved oval motor racing track in Newton, Iowa, United States, approximately east of Des Moines. The Milwaukee Mile is a oval race track in the central United States, located on the grounds of the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin, a suburb west of Milwaukee. 2013 Indy Lights Season
The 2013 Indy Lights season was a season of open wheel motor racing. It was the 28th season of the series and the twelfth sanctioned by IndyCar, acting as the primary support series for the IZOD IndyCar Series. It began March 24, 2013 in St. Petersburg. Rookie Sage Karam won the championship, the eighth rookie to win the series title. Karam clinched the championship in the final race over rookie teammate Gabby Chaves. Second-year driver Carlos Muñoz won a series-high four races but was forced to settle for third in the championship. Peter Dempsey captured the Freedom 100 in a spectacular four-wide finish in what was the closest finish in Indianapolis Motor Speedway history.
