Darren Jordon
Darren Jordon (born 23 November 1960 in London, England) is a British journalist working for the Al-Jazeera 24-hour English-language news and current affairs channel, Al Jazeera English. He is also a former officer of the Jamaica Defence Force. Early life Born in London to Jamaican parents, Jordon was brought up in the West Indies. Jordon was trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, in the United Kingdom, and became a professional army officer. He spent eight years in the Jamaica Regiment, and was part of the 1983 American-led force in the invasion of Grenada. He retired from the army as a Captain. Jordon became an accomplished military and sports parachutist, setting a new record in 1983 for parachuting onto Jamaica's highest mountain. Mark Jordon (born 25 January 1965) is an English actor, best known for playing PC Phil Bellamy in the British television series '' Heartbeat'', which he left in 2007. A documentary, ''Heartbeat - Farewell Phil'' was broadcast later on Christmas Day where he was husband to barmaid Gina (Tricia Penrose). His debut as director came with the short film ''To The Sea Again'', which played in many festivals and made it to the final of the Angel Film Festival London and Moondance International Film Festival in Hollywood. On 8 July 2014, Jordon joined the cast of ''Emmerdale'' in the short term role of Daz Spencer. Philip Jordon (September 12, 1933 – June 7, 1965) was an American professional basketball player. He played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Professional career A 6'10" center from Whitworth University, Jordon played seven seasons (1956–1963) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Cincinnati Royals, and St. Louis Hawks. He averaged 10.9 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game in his career. Jordon was a member of the Knicks' team that surrendered 100 points to the Philadelphia Warriors' Wilt Chamberlain on March 2, 1962, but he missed the game due to what was officially reported as influenza. Raymond Clarence "Slug" Jordon (17 February 1937 – 13 August 2012) was an Australian first-class cricketer who represented Victoria in the Sheffield Shield and toured with the Australian national cricket team. He was also a successful Australian rules football coach and acted as both reserves and under-19s coach at various clubs in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Universally known as "Slug", his nickname arose as a result of an incident during his National Service at Puckapunyal. Jordon Brown (born 28 November 1992) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Peterhead. Career Brown came through the youth system at Aberdeen and played for the club at under-17 and under-19 levels. He signed a professional full-time contract in June 2009. Jordon Dizon (born January 16, 1986) is a retired American football linebacker who currently serves as a National Scout for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He last played for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). Dizon played college football for the University of Colorado, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. The Detroit Lions selected him in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, and he played for the Lions for two seasons. He suffered a severe knee injury in 2010, which ended his career. Jordon John Forster (born 23 September 1993) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender. Forster has previously played for Hibernian, Berwick Rangers, East Fife, Plymouth Argyle, Cheltenham Town, Dundee and Kelty Hearts.
