Jordan Zunic
Jordan Zunic (born 27 December 1991) is an Australian professional golfer. After winning the 2013 Tasmanian Open and the 2014 China Amateur, Zunic turned professional in January 2015. He won the 2015 BMW New Zealand Open in March. Personal life Zunic is the son of Zoran and Tania Zunic. His father played basketball in the National Basketball League (NBL) for the Sydney Supersonics (1983) and Sydney Kings (1988). His brother, Kyle, also plays in the NBL. Rhein Gibson (born 1 February 1986) is an Australian professional golfer. Amateur career Gibson was a four-time NAIA All-American at Oklahoma Christian University. Professional career Gibson made the cut at the 2014 Open Championship, where in the 3rd round he played in a group with Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth. Gibson ultimately finished in 72nd place. Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches
The Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches were an amateur team golf competition for men between the states and territories of Australia. The event started in 1904 when New South Wales played Victoria. Until World War II the event was played as part of the championship meeting which included the Australian Amateur. It was not until 1947 that all six states, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia, contested the event together. Northern Territory first played in 2015 increasing the number of teams to seven. The final format was a round-robin tournament, each team playing the other six teams, after which the top two teams play a final. Each team consisted of eight players. WGC-HSBC Champions
The WGC-HSBC Champions was a professional golf tournament, held annually in China. Inaugurated in 2005, the first seven editions were played at the Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, then moved to the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen for a single year in 2012. It returned to Sheshan Golf Club in 2013. Since 2009, it was a World Golf Championship event. Established in 1999 as a successor to the World Series of Golf, it was one of three or four annual World Golf Championships (WGC) until 2021, when the number of WGC events was reduced to two. Under sponsorship agreements, the WGC Invitational was titled as the WGC-NEC Invitational (1999–2005) and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational (2006–2018). The WGC Match Play, currently titled as the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play for sponsorship reasons, is a professional men's golf tournament that has been held since 1999. It is the only one of the World Golf Championships to have been contested using the match play format. Since 2016, it has been held at the Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas, United States. Previous names include WGC-Dell Match Play (2015), WGC-Cadillac Match Play (2014), WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship (2001–2013), and WGC-Andersen Consulting Match Play Championship (1999–2000). The Gippsland Super 6 is a golf tournament that was played for the first time in November 2019. It is played at Warragul Country Club in Warragul, Gippsland, in south-eastern Victoria, Australia. Format The tournament uses a "Super 6" format. The first three days consist of ordinary stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes reducing the field to the top 50 and ties. After 54 holes, the field is cut to a fixed 24. On the final day, there is a knock-out phase, when six-hole stroke play contests are played. The leading 8 players after 54 holes receive a bye to the second round. History Because of bad weather the inaugural event in 2019 was reduced to 54 holes, the knockout phase being abandoned.
