Jordan Ngatai
Jordan Ngatai (born 7 March 1993) is a New Zealand professional basketball player for the Wellington Saints of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He played six seasons with the New Zealand Breakers in the Australian NBL and is a regular New Zealand Tall Black. In the New Zealand NBL, he is a four-time champion. Early life and career Born and raised in Porirua, New Zealand, Ngatai graduated from Mana College before attending Sierra College in the United States for one year. For the 2013–14 season, he played basketball for BYU–Hawaii. Professional career Ngatai made his debut in the New Zealand NBL in 2012 with the Wellington Saints. In his second season with Wellington in 2014, he won his first championship. 2019 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2019 NBL season was the 38th season of the National Basketball League. The competition increased to nine teams in 2019 with the Southern Huskies joining the league for the first time, marking the first time ever that an Australian team has joined a New Zealand competition. The regular season commenced on Thursday 11 April in Palmerston North with the Manawatu Jets hosting the Super City Rangers at Arena Manawatu. 2017 FIBA Asia Cup
The 2017 FIBA Asia Cup (formerly known as the FIBA Asia Championship) was the 29th continental basketball championship in Asia. The tournament was organised by FIBA Asia. It took place from 8 to 20 August 2017, a week earlier from the initial scheduled date, in Lebanon. The Nouhad Nawfal Arena with a capacity of 8,000 seats hosted the tournament's matches. All 16 teams who qualified for the tournament also qualified for the first round of the FIBA Asia and FIBA Oceania qualifiers for the 2019 FIBA World Cup. New Zealand Men's National Basketball Team
The New Zealand men's national basketball team is the senior men's national basketball team of New Zealand. The team is nicknamed the Tall Blacks. The ''Tall Blacks'' name is one of many New Zealand national team nicknames related to the All Blacks.
