Jordan Meads
Jordan Meads (born 16 February 1992) is a Greek international rugby league player who currently plays club football with rugby union club University of the Sunshine Barbarians. Primarily playing as a or , Meads previously played semi-professionally and has represented the Greece national team. Early life Meads grew up in Wellington, New Zealand, and is of Greek descent on his mother's side. He lived on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia for a period during his teenage years, attending Mountain Creek State High School and Sunshine Coast Grammar School. Career After a stint with the Melbourne Storm, Meads joined the New Zealand Warriors. He is well remembered for his man of the match performance in the 2011 NYC (under 20s) Grand Final against the North Queensland Cowboys, where he kicked the match-winning field goal during golden point extra-time. The Sunshine Coast Falcons are a rugby league football team based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They compete in the Queensland Cup and their home ground is Sunshine Coast Stadium. The Falcons are currently affiliated with the NRL team Melbourne Storm. History The Falcons were originally the Winfield State League representative team for the Sunshine Coast. The 2018 Emerging Nations World Championship (ENWC) was a rugby league tournament held for Tier Two and Tier Three nations, the third edition of the Rugby League Emerging Nations Tournament. Background Several nations that had not qualified, or were not eligible to qualify, for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup planned to contest an Emerging Nations tournament in Sydney in 2017 alongside the World Cup. However this tournament did not get support from the Rugby League International Federation, and did not go ahead.
