Jordan Davis (born January 21, 1983) is a former American soccer player and former manager of the PDL's Peachtree City MOBA. Career College and Amateur Davis grew up in Peachtree City, Georgia, and attended Starr's Mill High School and began his college soccer at Charleston Southern University, transferring to Georgia State University before his sophomore season. During his college years Davis also played with the Columbus Shooting Stars and the Richmond Kickers Future in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Undrafted out of college, Davis joined the Atlanta Silverbacks organization as a player and coach, playing three more seasons in the USL Premier Development League for the Silverbacks' PDL affiliate, Atlanta Silverbacks U23s. He went on to play three seasons for the Silverbacks in the PDL, leading the team in minutes played, before leaving when the entire Silverbacks organization went on hiatus at the end of the 2008 season. Jordan Carl Wheeler Davis (born March 30, 1988) is an American country pop singer and songwriter. He is signed to Universal Music Group Nashville's MCA Nashville division, for which he has released one album and two extended plays. Biography and career Jordan Carl Wheeler Davis was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to mother Luwanna and father Ricky. He has a brother, Jacob Davis (who is also a country singer), and a sister, Jentry. His uncle, Stan Paul Davis, wrote Tracy Lawrence's hit singles "Today's Lonely Fool" and "Better Man, Better Off". Murder Of Jordan Davis
On November 23, 2012, Jordan Davis, a black 17-year-old high school student, was murdered at a Gate Petroleum gas station in Jacksonville, Florida, by Michael David Dunn, a white 45-year-old software developer, following an argument over loud music played by Davis and his three friends, in what was believed to be a racially motivated shooting. Dunn was convicted on three counts of attempted second-degree murder for firing at three other teenagers who were with Davis and one count of firing into an occupied vehicle. The jury could not reach a verdict about whether to convict Dunn for the murder of Davis at the first trial. In a second trial, Dunn was found guilty of the first-degree murder of Davis and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole plus 105 years in prison, which is two ''de facto'' consecutive life sentences.
