Juybar ( fa, جويبار, also Romanized as Jūybār; also known as Bāghlū) is a city and capital of Juybar County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. In the 2006 census, its population was 27,117, with 7,052 families. This city is known as the wrestling capital of Iran. Yasubedin Rastegar Jooybari
Grand Ayatollah Yasubeddin Rastegar Jooybari (Persian: يعسوب الدين رستگار جويباري) (born 1940) is an Iranian Twelver Shi'a Marja'. He has studied in seminaries of Qom, Iran under Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Kazem Shariatmadari, Mohammad-Reza Golpaygani and Mirza Hashem Amoli. He has repeatedly been arrested for his opposition against the current Iranian government, in particular Supreme Leader Khamenei. Khamenei's elevation to supreme leader was challenged by him. Background Ayatollah Yasub al-Din Rastgari, accused of criticizing government policies, has been arrested and detained several times. During his arrest in late February 1996, he was held in incommunicado detention, reportedly mainly in Tawhid and Evin Prisons in Tehran until July 1996. Komeil Ghasemi
Komeil Ghasemi ( fa, کمیل قاسمی, born 27 February 1988) is a retired Iranian wrestler who won a gold medal in the men's freestyle 120 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Ghasemi was awarded his Olympic gold medal after the two wrestlers ahead of him failed drug tests. Ghasemi is the most successful Iranian heavyweight wrestler at the Olympic Games. He also won a silver medal at the 2011 Asian Wrestling Championships in the 120 kg freestyle discipline. He was born in Juybar, in Iran's Mazandaran province but spent his childhood in Sari. He started wrestling seriously after moving back to Juybar. Following his Olympic appearance, Ghasemi won the 120 kg weight class at the 2013 Freestyle World Cup in Tehran, Iran, helping his nation take gold in the tournament. Shahabeddin Gordan ( fa, شهاب گردان, born May 22, 1984) is an Iranian Football goalkeeper who plays for Foolad in the Persian Gulf Pro League and the Iran national football team.
