Joo Won Ahn
Joo Won Ahn (born 1993) is a South Korean ballet dancer who is currently a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. Ahn was born in Wonju. He trained at the Y.J. Ballet People Academy and Sunhwa Arts School, then entered the Korea National University of Arts in 2012. In 2013, after he won a gold medal at the Youth America Grand Prix, he joined the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company. He became an apprentice with the main company in January the following year and was taken to the corps de ballet five months later. He became a soloist in 2019 and principal dancer in 2020, at age 26. Wonju () is the most populous city in Gangwon Province, South Korea. The city is located approximately east of Seoul. Wonju was the site of three crucial battles during the Korean War. Sunhwa Arts School
Sunhwa Arts School is a private coeducational college preparatory arts academy located in Seoul, South Korea. Founded as the Little Angels Art School in 1973 by the Reverend Sun Myung Moon (the founder of the Unification Church), the Sunhwa Arts School was launched in 1974 and has been supported by the Sunhwa Educational Foundation since 1977, when this foundation was created by Reverend Moon. It is considered to be among the most prominent visual arts, music and dance middle schools and high schools in South Korea. The school is known for its high academic standards and requires high entrance examination scores and interviews for acceptance. Hee Seo
Hee Seo (; born 13 March 1986) is a South Korean ballet dancer who is a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), one of the three leading classical ballet companies in the United States. She became the company's first Korean ballerina to be promoted to principal dancer in ABT's 75-year history. She is also one of the youngest dancers in ABT history to be promoted to principal at the age of twenty-six.
