Tom Baxter (born Thomas Baxter Gleave, 29 October 1973) is an English singer-songwriter based in London. He was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, and grew up in Camborne Cornwall with his 4 siblings. The second son of Jeff and Julie Gleave (who were regulars on the folk music circuit in the late 1960s and early 1970s). Baxter and his siblings use their middle names as stage surnames. Baxter is the middle brother of Jo Spencer (the eldest), and his younger brother Charlie Winston, a successful songwriter based in France. William Otis Laswell (born February 12, 1955) is an American bass guitarist, record producer, and record label owner. He has been involved in thousands of recordings with many collaborators from all over the world. His music draws from funk, world music, jazz, dub, and ambient styles. According to music critic Chris Brazier, "Laswell's pet concept is 'collision music' which involves bringing together musicians from wildly divergent but complementary spheres and seeing what comes out." Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, before bassist John McVie joined the line-up for their eponymous debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. Keyboardist and vocalist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married McVie and joined in 1970, becoming known as Christine McVie. Artanker Convoy is an American psychedelic rock group formed in 2000 and was one of the first bands to sign to the Brooklyn experimental music label, The Social Registry. History Drummer/record producer Artanker and bassist Joe Fiorentino played with James Murphy in the short lived Jinx Clambake Explosion in 1992, and then went on to form the 90s acid bubblegum group Stratotanker. Artanker assembled the Convoy when the controversial Brazilian choreographer Maura Baiocchi contacted Artanker about composing music for modern dance pieces. Artanker brought Stratotanker members Joe Fiorentino and Chris Seeds back together, and recruited Art Lavis from Princess Superstar, Jake Oas (a.k.a. Antonio Forcione is an Italian jazz guitarist. His 2000 album ''Live!'' was recorded at The Vortex in London. He also recorded a duet album with bassist Charlie Haden – ''Heartplay''. Biography Forcione grew up on the Adriatic coast of the Molise region of southern Italy. By the age of 11, he was playing Italian folk music, accompanying two accordion-playing uncles on guitar and mandolin. He toured Italy at the age of 13 in the 1970s. Coming to London in May 1983, he busked in Covent Garden, and won a Time Out busking award. Influences and Instruments Charles Alexander, writing in ''Jazzwise'', states that Forcione has "influences ranging from flamenco to Balkan and from Arabic to American acoustic guitar styles, but he is thoroughly conversant with the jazz language." He has released many albums: his solo music project released under the name Adem, in the acclaimed post-rock band Fridge, alongside Kieran Hebden, and as part of the electronic duo Silver Columns with Johnny Lynch. After leaving their native Somerset, the band moved to London where they were discovered by Laurence Bell, boss of Domino Records.
