Jonny McGovern
Jonny McGovern (born July 12, 1976), also known by his character name The Gay Pimp, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, musician and podcaster. He has recorded three albums as comedic singer The Gay Pimp, appeared as a cast member of Logo's ''The Big Gay Sketch Show'', and hosts the internet talk show ''Hey Qween!'' Early life Jonny McGovern was born to Mary McGovern and Rob Gutowski in Brooklyn, New York. His parents traveled often and McGovern grew up primarily in Egypt and Thailand. McGovern later returned to the United States to study acting at Boston University, where he earned a BFA. He is openly gay. Junior Vasquez (born Donald Gregory Mattern, August 24, 1949) is an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He has been referred to as one of the only DJs of his time to gain international attention. Career Mattern moved to New York City as a young man of 25 in 1971 with ambitions of becoming a fashion designer, briefly attending Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and working for a while as a hairdresser. Mattern soon became fascinated with NYC nightlife especially the work of DJ Larry Levan at the Paradise Garage. The show, which is hosted by Jonny McGovern, began airing on January 16, 2006. Kareemia Baines (May 30, 1977July 25, 2020), known professionally as Lady Red Couture, was an American drag queen and singer best known as the co-host of '' Hey Qween!'' with Jonny McGovern. Born in Park City, Utah, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she became a fixture of the local drag scene.
