Jonathon Lillis
Jonathon Lillis (born August 20, 1994) is an American freestyle skier who competes internationally. He competed for US at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, Spain, where he won a gold medal in men's aerials. He competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics, finishing 8th in Aerials. In the 2018 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, he wore a glass pendant with some of the ashes of his youngest brother, Michael "Mikey" Lillis, who had died unexpectedly in 2017 at 17 years old. During the men's aerials event of the 2018 Winter Olympics, Jonathon Lillis wore his late brother's Team USA ski suit. His younger brother Christopher Lillis won an Olympic Gold medal in mix team aerials at the 2022 Winter Olympics. 2018 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics was held at the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium in Pyeongchang, South Korea on 9 February 2018. It began at 20:00 KST and finished at approximately 22:20 KST. The Games were officially opened by President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in. Preparations The site of the opening ceremony, Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium, was built specifically for the Games. The pentagonal stadium seated 35,000. The organizers for the event said the shape was chosen because it is a combination of different shapes, a circle, a square, and a triangle, which represent heaven, earth, and mankind. Christopher Lillis (born October 4, 1998) is an American freestyle skier. In the 2022 Winter Olympics, he won a gold medal in the mixed team aerials event. He participated in Freestyle Aerial Skiing at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2021, winning a medal. Bristol Mountain, formally known as Bristol Mountain Winter Resort, is a ski resort located in South Bristol, New York in the Finger Lakes region. It is located from the center of Rochester, New York, the nearest major city to the resort, and about from Canandaigua on NY 64. Bristol Mountain features many trails ranging from easiest (green circle) to difficult (double black diamonds).
