Jonathan Waterhouse
Jonathan Arthur Waterhouse (born 11 April 1965) is a former English cricketer. Waterhouse was a right-handed batsman. He was born in Leek, Staffordshire. Waterhouse made his debut for Staffordshire in the 1985 Minor Counties Championship against Northumberland. Waterhouse played Minor counties cricket for Staffordshire from 1985 to 1997, which included 52 Minor Counties Championship matches and 4 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. In 1988, he made his List A debut against Surrey in the NatWest Trophy. Leek, Staffordshire
Leek is a market town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the county of Staffordshire, England, on the River Churnet. It is situated about north east of Stoke-on-Trent. It is an ancient borough and was granted its royal charter in 1214. It is the administrative centre for the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. Hampshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Hampshire. Hampshire teams formed by earlier organisations, principally the Hambledon Club, always had first-class status and the same applied to the county club when it was founded in 1863. In cricket, a player's batting average is the total number of runs they have scored divided by the number of times they have been out, usually given to two decimal places. Since the number of runs a player scores and how often they get out are primarily measures of their own playing ability, and largely independent of their teammates, batting average is a good metric for an individual player's skill as a batter (although the practice of drawing comparisons between players on this basis is not without criticism).
