Jonathan Sutherland
Jonathan Sutherland (born 1977) is a Scottish television and radio presenter and producer, currently the main presenter of BBC Scotland's Sunday night ''Sportscene'' on BBC One Scotland. He occasionally hosts the ''Sportscene'' Results show on Saturday afternoons and regularly appears on ''Reporting Scotland''. Education Sutherland was born in Brae in the Shetland Islands. He left the islands to study politics at Aberdeen University and subsequently graduated with his degree in 1999 before landing a job at BBC Radio Shetland. Early career His first taste of journalism was with Radio Shetland, but he left in 2003 to build his career. He was hired by BBC Sport as a broadcast journalist but left the BBC briefly for a spell to take up the role of Deputy Editor at the Shetland Weekly newspaper. Brae
:''"Brae" is also the Lowland Scots language word for the slope or brow of a hill.'' Brae (Old Norse: ''Breiðeið'', meaning "the wide isthmus") is a village on the island of Mainland in Shetland, Scotland, United Kingdom. Description Brae was historically a fishing village, but with the construction of the nearby Sullom Voe Oil Terminal in the 1970s it grew rapidly, merging with the nearby village of Northbrae. It is located at the northern end of Busta Voe, on the narrow isthmus that joins Northmavine to the rest of the Mainland. The village stages its own Up Helly Aa. The A970 which connects Lerwick to Northmavine forms the main street of Brae. Brae's police and fire stations, schools, and NHS clinic service much of the northern part of the Mainland. BBC Radio Shetland is an opt-out service of BBC Radio Scotland, covering the Shetland Islands, Scotland. The station's studio is located in Pitt Lane, Lerwick. Programming Radio Shetland has two programme slots, broadcast on FM. It is also possible to listen live online via BBC Sounds and afterwards through a Mixcloud page. A 30-minute magazine programme, ''Good Evening Shetland'', is broadcast each weekday evening at 5.30pm, and includes news and current affairs, weather, fishing reports and public debate. Yell, Shetland
Yell ( sco, Yell) is one of the North Isles of Shetland, Scotland. In the 2011 census it had a usually resident population of 966. Shetland Islands
Shetland, also called the Shetland Islands and formerly Zetland, is a subarctic archipelago in Scotland lying between Orkney, the Faroe Islands and Norway. BBC One Scotland is a Scottish free-to-air television channel owned and operated by BBC Scotland and is a Scottish variation of the UK-wide BBC One.
