Jonathan Scott-Taylor
Jonathan Scott-Taylor (born 6 March 1962) is an English actor. Early life He was born in São Paulo, Brazil to English parents; his father was a consultant for the fishery industry in Brazil at the time. He was educated at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School. Scott-Taylor started going to drama school at age 11. Acting career He played the character of Jim Hawkins in a stage musical of ''Treasure Island'' in 1973. He went on to take minor roles in ''Bugsy Malone'' (1976) and ''The Four Feathers'' (1978), and a starring role in a BBC production of ''The Winslow Boy'' (1977) after which he was chosen to play teen Damien Thorn in '' Damien: Omen II'' (1978). In 1979, he played the role of Lucius, Brutus' servant, in a BBC production of Shakespeare's ''The Tragedy of Julius Caesar''. Galloping Foxley
"Galloping Foxley" is a short story by Roald Dahl first published in '' Town & Country'' in 1953. It was included in the short-story collection '' Someone Like You'', and was later adapted into an episode of '' Tales of The Unexpected''. Published story "Galloping Foxley", which Dahl claimed was based on a true story, is about a man named William Perkins, described as a "contented commuter" but in fact obsessed by routine. Every day he arrives at the station and catches the same train, taking the same seat in the carriage. One day his routine is shattered by the arrival of a newcomer who takes first his place at the station, and then sits in the carriage Perkins normally has to himself. The outraged Perkins slowly realises he recognises the newcomer as a former schoolmate; but the newcomer clearly does not recognize Perkins, allowing the author to fill the void. ''The Cedar Tree'' was a television serial that ran from 1976 to 1979 on ITV in the United Kingdom. It involved the story of the upper class Bourne family before the turn of the Second World War. The main setting is Larkfield Manor, the family home set in Herefordshire, in the grounds of which is the cedar tree. ''The Cedar Tree'' was made by Associated Television Productions (ATV) and recorded at their studios at Elstree. ''The Winslow Boy'' is an English play from 1946 by Terence Rattigan based on an incident involving George Archer-Shee in the Edwardian era. The incident took place at the Royal Naval College, Osborne. Background Set against the strict codes of conduct and manners of the age, ''The Winslow Boy'' is based on a father's fight to clear his son's name after the boy is expelled from Osborne Naval College for allegedly stealing a five-shilling postal order. To clear the boy's name was imperative for the family's honour; had they not done so, they would have been shunned by their peers and society. Similarly, the boy's life would have been wrecked by an indelible stain on his character which would have followed him throughout adulthood. ''Play of the Month'' is a BBC television anthology series, which ran from 1965 to 1983 featuring productions of classic and contemporary stage plays (or adaptations) which were usually broadcast on BBC1. Each production featured a different work, often using prominent British stage actors in the leading roles. The series was transmitted regularly from October 1965 to May 1979, before returning for the summer seasons of 1982 and 1983. The producer most associated with the ''Play of the Month'' series was Cedric Messina. Thirteen productions were also shown previously or subsequently on BBC2 in the period 1971-73 under '' Stage 2''. Productions were broadcast in colour from November 1969.
