Jonathan Hunt (footballer)
Jonathan Richard Hunt (born 2 November 1971) is an English footballer who plays for Enfield Town. He made more than 200 appearances in the Football League for a variety of clubs and played in the Premier League for Derby County. Football career Born in Camden, London, Hunt was a striker in youth football before converting to midfield, and developed into a skilful right-sided midfielder. He played under manager Barry Fry at Barnet, winning promotion to Division Two in his first full season, and Southend United before following Fry to Birmingham City in September 1994 for a fee of £500,000. The most successful time of Hunt's career was spent at Birmingham where he played over a hundred games. His first season was disrupted by injury, but he was still able to contribute to Birmingham becoming Division Two champions, and he played in the final of the Football League Trophy at Wembley, the game won by Paul Tait's golden goal. Neil Warnock
Neil Warnock (born 1 December 1948) is an English former football manager and player. He is also a television and radio pundit. In a managerial career spanning five decades, Warnock has managed sixteen different clubs from the Premier League to non-league. He holds the record for the most promotions in English football, with eight. Warnock played as a winger for Chesterfield, Rotherham United, Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United, Aldershot, Barnsley, York City and Crewe Alexandra, scoring 36 goals in 327 career league appearances. Vassilis Borbokis
Vasilios Borbokis (Greek: Βασίλειος Μπορμπόκης; born 10 February 1969) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is the younger brother of the former Greek international, Stefanos Borbokis. Career Club career Born in Serres, he started his career at Apollon Kalamarias, in which he played from 1987 to 1993, when he was transferred to the then champion of Greece, AEK Athens, where played until 1997 celebrating a championship, two cups and a Super Cup. In 1997 he was transferred to Sheffield United which was then playing in the Championship for a fee of €1.25M and became one of the first Greeks to play in England. Golden Goal
The golden goal or golden point is a rule used in association football, lacrosse, field hockey, and ice hockey to decide the winner of a match (typically a knock-out match) in which scores are equal at the end of normal time. It is a type of sudden death. Under this rule, the game ends when a goal or point is scored; the team that scores that goal or point during extra time is the winner. Introduced formally in 1993, though with some history before that, the rule ceased to apply to most FIFA-authorized football games in 2004. The similar silver goal supplemented the golden goal between 2002 and 2004. The golden goal used to be played in NCAA matches up to 2021 but is still used in FIH sanctioned field hockey games. Paul Tait (footballer, Born 1971)
Paul Ronald Tait (born 31 July 1971) is an English former professional footballer who made more than 250 appearances in the Football League. Club career Tait was born in Sutton Coldfield, which was then part of Warwickshire. As a youth he played as a striker, but he spent most of his playing career as a midfielder. He made his first-team debut for Birmingham City as a 16-year-old substitute against Leeds United in the last match of the 1987–88 season, and turned professional a few months later. He received media coverage during the 1995 Football League Trophy Final when, after scoring the winner, he revealed a T-shirt reading "Shit on the Villa", aimed at City's rivals Aston Villa. He was fined two weeks' wages for the incident, which was echoed in the same fixture eleven years later by Swansea City players.
