Jonathan Greening
Jonathan Greening (born 2 January 1979) is an English professional Association football, football coach and former player who is currently the Manager (association football), manager of Scarborough Athletic F.C., Scarborough Athletic of the Northern Premier League. As a player, Greening played as a midfielder. He began his career in 1996 with York City F.C., York City, but moved to Manchester United F.C., Manchester United in 1998, with whom he won the 1998–99 UEFA Champions League as a non-playing Substitute (association football), substitute in the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final, final. 1998–99 UEFA Champions League
The 1998–99 UEFA Champions League was the 44th season of the UEFA Champions League, Europe's premier club football tournament, and the seventh since it was renamed from the "European Champion Clubs' Cup" or "European Cup". The competition was won by Manchester United, coming back from a goal down in the last two minutes of injury time to defeat Bayern Munich 2–1 in the final. Mark Antony Wilson (born 9 February 1979) is an English former Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. He represented England at England national under-21 football team, Under-21 level. The Premier League (legal name: The Football Association Premier League Limited) is the highest level of the men's English football league system. AFC Bournemouth () is a professional association football club based in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. Youth Training Scheme
The Youth Training Scheme (YTS) was the name in the United Kingdom of an on-the-job training course for school leavers aged 16 and 17 and was managed by the Manpower Services Commission. The scheme was first outlined in the 1980 white paper ''A New Training Initiative: A Programme for Action'', and it was brought into operation in 1983 to replace the Youth Opportunities Programme by the government of Margaret Thatcher. Initially lasting one year or six months, the scheme was amended in 1986 to be so that it could be extended to two years. The 1981 England riots encouraged that, by bringing into sharp focus the results of large numbers of unskilled unemployed finding their own solutions.
