Jonathan C. Gibson
Jonathan Catlett Gibson, Jr. (1833 – after 1893) was a nineteenth-century Virginia lawyer, farmer and Confederate soldier who represented Fauquier County in the Virginia Constitutional Convention of 1868 and later Culpeper County in the Virginia House of Delegates. Early life Gibson was born in Culpeper County, Virginia in 1833 to lawyer Jonathan Catlett Gibson, Sr. (1793-1849) and his second wife Mary Williams Shackleford, one of their five sons who later served in the Confederate States Army. The family was well-off, so that they could afford a private education for their sons. His father owned at least 23 enslaved persons in 1840, the last census during that Gibson's life. James Barbour (lawyer)
James Barbour (February 26, 1828 – October 29, 1895) was a Virginia lawyer, planter, politician and Confederate officer. He represented Culpeper County, Virginia, in the Virginia General Assembly, as well as in the Virginia Constitutional Convention of 1850 and the Virginia secession convention of 1861. Barbour also served among Virginia's delegates to the 1860 Democratic National Convention, and as a major in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. Early life and education Barbour was born on February 26, 1828, at Catalpa in Culpeper County, Virginia. Eustace Gibson
Eustace Gibson (October 4, 1842 – December 10, 1900) was a Democratic politician and lawyer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, who served in the Confederate Army and in the Virginia Constitutional Convention of 1868. He moved to the State of West Virginia, where he served as a delegate and Speaker of the West Virginia House of Delegates, and then as representative from the now-defunct Fourth Congressional District of West Virginia for the U.S. House of Representatives.
