Jonathan Brown (born 24 April 1990) is a professional association football, footballer, who currently plays for Edinburgh United F.C., Edinburgh United. He has previously played for Heart of Midlothian F.C., Heart of Midlothian, Livingston F.C., Livingston, Stirling Albion F.C., Stirling Albion, and Brechin City F.C., Brechin City. Born in South Africa, he has represented Scotland internationally at youth level. Club career Having come through the youth team ranks at Heart of Midlothian F.C., Heart of Midlothian, Brown joined Livingston F.C., Livingston on a season-long loan in August 2009 and whilst at the club scored his first Scottish Football League, Scottish League goal in January 2010 against Elgin City F.C., Elgin City. He ended the season with a Third Division Championship medal. In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring.
