Jon Zuber
Jon Edward Zuber (born December 10, 1969) is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He played parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1996 and 1998. He also played one season in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yokohama BayStars in 2001. He is currently an assistant coach at his alma mater, The University of California, Berkeley. Early life He attended Campolindo High School in Moraga, California. Played American Legion baseball for Lafayette Generals Post 517 coached by Don Miller Career Zuber was drafted by the Phillies in the 12th round of the 1992 MLB draft. He was a .250 career hitter over 68 major league games. Cal Golden Bears Baseball
The California Golden Bears baseball team represents the University of California, Berkeley in NCAA Division I college baseball. Along with most other California athletic teams, the baseball team participates in the Pac-12 Conference. The Bears play their home games at Evans Diamond. History The Bears have appeared in the NCAA Division I baseball tournament 13 times, and in the College World Series 6 times. They have won two National Championships: at the first College World Series in 1947 and again in 1957. In 1964, future major leaguer Mike Epstein batted .384 for the team and was named an All-American. American expatriate players began to steadily find spots on Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) rosters in the 1960s. In baseball, an at bat (AB) or time at bat is a batter's turn batting against a pitcher. An at bat is different from a plate appearance. A batter is credited with a plate appearance regardless of what happens during their turn at bat, but a batter is credited with an at bat only if that plate appearance does not have one of the results enumerated below.
