Jon Rune Strøm
Jon Rune Strøm (born 29 January 1985) is a Norwegian jazz musician (upright bass, bass guitar). Biography Strøm was born in Namsos Municipality, and was raised on an island in the north-western coast of Norway. His early influences included Gary Peacock and Frode Gjerstad, and he participated in the album ''East of the West'' (2011), the Kjersti Stubø album ''How High Is the Sky'' (2011), he collaborates on the Norwegian Free Jazz scene with Paal Nilssen-Love's band ''Large Unit'', Petter Wettre and with Mats Gustafsson's ''Nu Ensemble'', further with musicians like Mats Äleklint, John Dikeman, Martin Küchen, Thomas Johansson and Tollef Østvang in different constellations like the ''SAKA Trio, Universal Indians, All Included'' and ''Friends & Neighbors''. In 2013 he released the solo album ''Jøa''. Paal Nilssen-Love
Paal Nilssen-Love (born 24 December 1974) is a Norwegian drummer and composer in the jazz, free jazz and free improvisation genres. (in Norwegian) Early life Nilssen-Love was born in Molde, Norway. His parents ran a jazz club in Stavanger, and he learned to play drums on the kit owned by his father. As a teenager, he played with free-jazz reedsman Frode Gjerstad, which was the start of a long musical relationship. He did musical studies at ''Sund folkehøgskole'' 1993-94. In 1994, during studies on the Jazz program at the Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (1994–96), he formed the band Element which musically became a platform for several other groups with bassist Ingebrigt Håker Flaten and pianist Håvard Wiik and led to collaborations with Iain Ballamy and Chris Potter. Nilssen-Love also did a little composing in the mid-1990s. André Roligheten
André Roligheten (born 2 January 1985) is a Norwegians, Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone) and composer, known from a series of recordings and bands like Albatrosh and Eirik Hegdal, Team Hegdal. He has also played with musicians like Andrew D'Angelo, Theo Bleckmann, Django Bates, John Edwards (jazz double-bassist), John Edwards, Paul Lovens, Axel Dörner, Robin Hayward, Raymond Strid, Bugge Wesseltoft, Mathias Eick, Ola Kvernberg, Paal Nilssen-Love and Per Zanussi. Career Roligheten was born in Skien, Norway, and started playing the saxophone at an early age. At only 8 years old he picked up the horn and soon figured it out. NoBusiness Records
NoBusiness Records is an independent record label, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. History The label was founded in 2008 by Danas Mikailionis and Valerij Anosov. The latter is the owner of a jazz-oriented record store in Vilnius named Thelonious; according to Mikailionis, it is "probably the only store in Vilnius where one can find non-commercial music." Prior to starting the label, Mikailionis and Anosov put on concerts that featured artists such as William Parker, Matthew Shipp, Howard Riley, Joe McPhee, and Barry Guy. However, it was saxophonist Mats Gustafsson who, after performing a solo set, as well as one with Lithuanian musicians, encouraged them to found their own record label.
