Jon Rowan
Jonathan Robert Rowan (born 29 November 1981) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward from 2000 to 2010. He started his professional career with Grimsby Town in the Football League, playing three years inside the second tier of English football and a further year in the third, the latter years of his Grimsby career were hit by a number of injuries which led to his departure in 2004. He briefly moved to Kidderminster Harriers before going on to join Kettering Town and Gainsborough Trinity. In 2006, he signed for Boston Town where his goal scoring rate earned him a move across town to Boston United. Rowan spent two seasons with United before returning to Boston Town in 2009. He retired from playing competitive football at the end of the 2009–10 season to concentrate on coaching within the sport. Grimsby
Grimsby or Great Grimsby is a port town and the administrative centre of North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, England. Grimsby adjoins the town of Cleethorpes directly to the south-east forming a conurbation. Grimsby is north-east of Lincoln, England, Lincoln, (via the Humber Bridge) south-south-east of Kingston upon Hull, Hull, south-east of Scunthorpe, east of Doncaster and south-east of Leeds. Phil Jevons
Phillip Jevons (born 1 August 1979) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a forward who played between 1996 and 2014 for Everton, Grimsby Town, Hull City, Yeovil Town, Bristol City, Huddersfield Town, Bury, Morecambe, Hyde and Stockport County. Jevons came through the youth academy at Premier League side Everton and was promoted to the club's first team squad in 1996. He made only 8 league appearances before being sold to Grimsby Town in 2001. It was whilst a Grimsby player that he is notably remembered for scoring a last minute 30-yard extra time winning goal for The Mariners against his home town club Liverpool in the third round of the League Cup in 2001 which gave The Mariners a 2–1 victory at Anfield, having initially being 1–0 down. The Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. It was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split from it to form the Premier League. United Counties Football League
The United Counties League (also known after its sponsor as the ''Uhlsport United Counties League'') is an English football league covering Northamptonshire, Rutland and Bedfordshire and most of Leicestershire as well as parts of Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Clint Sherwin Marcelle (born 9 November 1968) is a Trinidadian former professional footballer and coach. As a player he was a striker and between 1995 and 2006. Dave Reeves
Dave Reeves (born 19 November 1967) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward from 1986 to 2009. He played in the Football League for many clubs, including making more than 100 appearances for each of Chesterfield, Bolton Wanderers and Carlisle United. He briefly held the assistant manager's position at Gainsborough Trinity prior to retiring from playing. Playing career Reeves was drafted into the first team squad at Sheffield Wednesday in 1986 aged 18. He played just under 20 first team games for The Owls while at the club between 1986 and 1989 and while at Hillsborough he spent time on loan with Scunthorpe United. Paul Gascoigne
Paul John Gascoigne (, born 27 May 1967), nicknamed Gazza, is an English former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He is described by the National Football Museum as "widely recognised as the most naturally talented English footballer of his generation". Born and raised in Gateshead, Gascoigne signed schoolboy terms with Newcastle United, before turning professional with the club in 1984. Steve Croudson
Steven David Croudson (born 24 November 1980) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is goalkeeping coach of EFL League Two side Grimsby Town. He played as a goalkeeper initially from 1998 to 2007, but later came out of retirement between 2010 and 2013. He notably played for his hometown club Grimsby Town, returning to the club as goalkeeping coach following his retirement from playing due to injury at the age of 26 and would fill in as a back-up keeper during this tenure. The National League North, formerly Conference North, is a division of the National League in England, immediately below the National League division. Blundell Park
Blundell Park is a football ground in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, England and home to Grimsby Town Football Club. The stadium was built in 1899, but only one of the original stands remains. The current capacity of the ground is 9,052, after being made all-seater in summer 1995, reducing the number from around 27,000. Several relegations in previous years meant the expansion seating was also taken away; that reduced the capacity further from around 12,000 to what it is now. The stadium is Grimsby Town's fourth ground, having previously played at Clee Park, Lovett Street and Abbey Park in the club's first twenty years of existence. The record attendance at Blundell Park was 31,651 in an FA Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 20 February 1937.
