Jon Morcillo
Jon Morcillo Conesa (born 15 September 1998) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Athletic Bilbao. Club career Early career Born in Amorebieta-Etxano, Biscay, Basque Country to a Basque father and a mother from Cartagena, Region of Murcia, Morcillo represented SD Amorebieta and SCD Durango as a youth. He made his senior debut with the latter's first team on 1 May 2016, in a 2–0 Tercera División away loss against CD Vitoria. Tercera División ( en, Third Division) was the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system. Founded in 1929, it was below the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga), the ''Segunda División'', and the semi-professional ''Segunda División B''. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. 2019–20 Segunda División B
The 2019–20 Segunda División B season was the 43rd since its establishment. Eighty teams participated, distributed in four groups of twenty clubs each. On 11 March 2020, the season of Segunda División B was suspended due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. Also, the expansion of the league to five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season (due to promotion from the curtailed Tercera División groups being applied) was approved.
