Jonathan Brown (English Footballer)
Jonathan Brown (1893 – 6 November 1918) was an English professional footballer who made one appearance as a left half in the Football League for Burnley in 1914. Military service Brown served as a lance corporal in the East Lancashire Regiment during the First World War and was wounded during the course of his service. He was killed in France on 6 November 1918, just five days before the Armistice. Brown was buried in Maubeuge Maubeuge (; historical nl, Mabuse or nl, Malbode; pcd, Maubeuche) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. Jonathan Brown (Scottish Footballer)
Jonathan Brown (born 24 April 1990) is a professional footballer, who currently plays for Edinburgh United. He has previously played for Heart of Midlothian, Livingston, Stirling Albion, and Brechin City. Born in South Africa, he has represented Scotland internationally at youth level. Club career Having come through the youth team ranks at Heart of Midlothian, Brown joined Livingston on a season-long loan in August 2009 and whilst at the club scored his first Scottish League goal in January 2010 against Elgin City. He ended the season with a Third Division Championship medal. The following season, he joined Stirling Albion, again for a season-long loan, but this time at First Division level. The season finished disappointingly with relegation as the club finished bottom of the table. Jonathan Bernard Brown (born November 28, 1975) is a former professional American, Canadian and Arena football defensive lineman, who last played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. Jonathan Michael Brown (born 27 February 1971) is a former British long-distance runner who specialised in 10,000 metres, cross country running and the marathon. Athletics career Born in Bridgend, Wales, he was affiliated with the City of Sheffield Athletic Club in England during his career. He gained Canadian citizenship in 2005, after living in there since 1996; but continued to make himself available for Britain until switching sporting allegiance at the start of 2008. Jonathan Mayer Brown (July 15, 1939 – January 17, 2022) was an American art historian, known for his work on Spanish art, particularly Diego Velázquez. He was Carroll and Milton Petrie Professor of Fine Arts at New York University. Early life and education Brown was born on July 15, 1939 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Leonard M. Brown, an insurance agent and Jean (Levy) Brown, a librarian. He studied Spanish literature at Dartmouth College and spent a year abroad in Madrid. While in Spain, he became fascinated with the painter Diego Velázquez, which inspired a lifelong interest in Spanish art.
