Jon Bounds
Jon Bounds (born 30 June 1975), is a writer and blogger from Birmingham, England. Raised in the City's Perry Barr district, he attended King Edward VI Aston, King Edward VI Grammar School, Aston. After working as a technical and commissioning editor for friends of ED,Bounds' LinkedIn profile he spent nearly four years working for the BBC as technical co-ordinator of the Public Space at BBC Birmingham, and studied Computer Science at the University of Birmingham. He was Online Editor for the Big Picture project. Bounds is known for creating a blog called "Birmingham: It's Not Shit" in response to the 2002 bid for Birmingham to become a European City of Culture. In 2012, he told the BBC that the site attracted 10,000 visitors per month. Birmingham Town Hall
Birmingham Town Hall is a concert hall and venue for popular assemblies opened in 1834 and situated in Victoria Square, Birmingham, England. It is a Grade I listed building. The hall underwent a major renovation between 2002 and 2007. Rhubarb Radio (Birmingham)
The now defunct Rhubarb Radio (Birmingham) was an internet and community radio station in Birmingham, England. It began broadcasting test transmissions in August 2008 from its studio in the Custard Factory (see 2008 in British radio). As of November 2009, it had a regular audience of 3,500 and its website received 34,000 unique visitors. Following a successful relaunch of its website in December 2009, Rhubarb Radio introduced listen again services for all of its programming. Allowing users to select any show within the last ten weeks and replay it. Since the relaunch, the site has attracted over 47,000 unique visitors with listeners from all over the world. The station featured music and magazine shows, as well as streaming of live music events.
