Joketani Cokanasiga
Joketani Cokanasiga ( – 7 March 2021) was a Fijian politician, who served as Minister for Public Works (Fiji), Minister for Public Works and Minister for Energy (Fiji), Energy in the interim Cabinet of Fiji, Cabinet formed by Laisenia Qarase in the wake of the 2000 Fijian coup d'état, Fiji coup of 2000. He held office till an elected government took power in September 2001. In early 2006, Cokanasiga found himself at the centre of an inquiry into alleged corruption in an agricultural affirmative action scheme during his time as a Minister. The ''Fiji Sun'' reported on 20 January that a letter to the prime minister and signed by Cokanasiga had condemned a Finance Ministry decision to suspend the program while an audit was in progress, describing the suspension as "political suicide." Serua (Fijian Communal Constituency, Fiji)
Serua Fijian Provincial Communal is a former electoral division of Fiji, one of 23 communal constituencies reserved for indigenous Fijians. Established by the 1997 Constitution, it came into being in 1999 and was used for the parliamentary elections of 1999, 2001, and 2006. (Of the remaining 48 seats, 23 were reserved for other ethnic communities and 25, called Open Constituencies, were elected by universal suffrage). The electorate was coextensive with Serua Province. The 2013 Constitution promulgated by the Military-backed interim government abolished all constituencies and established a form of proportional representation, with the entire country voting as a single electorate. Fijians ( fj, iTaukei, lit=Owners (of the land)) are a nation and ethnic group native to Fiji, who speak Fijian and share a common history and culture. Fijians, or ''iTaukei'', are the major indigenous people of the Fiji Islands, and live in an area informally called Melanesia. Indigenous Fijians are believed to have arrived in Fiji from western Melanesia approximately 3,500 years ago, though the exact origins of the Fijian people are unknown. Later they would move onward to other surrounding islands, including Rotuma, as well as blending with other (Polynesian) settlers on Tonga and Samoa. Frank Bainimarama
Josaia Voreqe "Frank" Bainimarama (Fijian: ʃoˈsɛia βoˈreŋɡe mbɛiniˈmarama born 27 April 1954) is a Fijian politician and former naval officer who served as the prime minister of Fiji from 2007 until 2022. A member of the FijiFirst party, which he founded in 2014, he began his career as an officer in the Fijian navy and commander of the Fijian military. He has been serving as the opposition leader since 24 December 2022. Bainimarama attended Marist Brothers High School, the Asian Institute of Technology and Dalhousie University. He joined the Fijian Navy in 1975 and rose through the ranks, becoming an Able Seaman and a Midshipman in 1976, an Ensign in 1977 and later promoted to a sub-lieutenant at the end of that year. He was promoted to lieutenant-commander in 1986 and became a commander in 1988. He later became captain in 1991. Serua Province

It had a population of 15,461 at the 2007 census.
