Joinville () is the largest city in Santa Catarina, in the Southern Region of Brazil. It is the third largest municipality in the southern region of Brazil, after the much larger state capitals of Curitiba and Porto Alegre. Joinville is also a major industrial, financial and commerce center. The city has a very high human development index (0.809) among Brazilian municipalities, occupying the 21st national position. One study pointed to Joinville as the second best city to live in Brazil. Joinville holds the titles of "Brazilian Manchester", "City of Flowers", "City of the Princes", "City of Bicycles" and "City of Dance". It is known for hosting the Joinville Dance Festival (considered the largest dance festival in the world), as well as for having the only branch of the Bolshoi Ballet School outside Russia in the world. Adriano Bornschein Silva (born 1 March 1978) is a Brazilian businessman, politician, and volunteer firefighter. He is the current mayor of Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil. He is president of the Catarinense Pharma group. He is the only mayor in Brazil by the New Party and says he identifies with President Jair Bolsonaro. Personal life, education, and career Silva was born on 1 March 1978 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil. He is married with Bianca Silva, and they have two children, Isabela Silva and Lucas Silva. Silva is Lutheran. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Mackenzie Presbyterian University, in Sao Paulo. In 2003, Silva joined Joinville's Volunteer Fire Department, where he worked in the fire brigade, and as coordinator for the children firefighters. François D'Orléans, Prince Of Joinville
François d'Orléans, Prince de Joinville (14 August 1818 – 16 June 1900) was the third son of Louis Philippe, King of the French, and his wife Maria Amalia of Naples and Sicily. An admiral of the French Navy, François was famous for bringing the remains of Napoleon from Saint Helena to France, as well as a talented artist, with 35 known watercolours. He married Princess Francisca of Brazil, daughter of Emperor Pedro I and sister of Emperor Pedro II. The dowry received by François upon the marriage became the Brazilian city of Joinville. Dona Francisca (2 August 1824 – 27 March 1898) was a princess of the Empire of Brazil (as daughter of Emperor Dom Pedro I, who also reigned as King Dom Pedro IV of Portugal, and his wife Maria Leopoldina of Habsburg), who became Princess of Joinville upon marrying François d’Orléans, son of the French king Louis Philippe I.
