Jalan Salleh (Johor state route J24) (Jawi: جالن صالح) is a major road in Johor, Malaysia. The Kilometre Zero of Jalan Salleh starts at Bandar Maharani, Muar, at its interchange with the Federal Route 5, the main trunk road of the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. At most sections, Federal Route J24 was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h. Muar ( Jawi: موار) or Bandar Maharani, is a historical town and the capital of Muar District, Johor, Malaysia. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia to be visited and explored for its food, coffee and historical prewar buildings. It was recently declared as the royal town of Johor by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and is the fourth largest urban area (after Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat and Kluang) in Johor. Yong Peng is a town in Mukim Tanjung Semberong, Batu Pahat District, Johor, Malaysia. It has an area of 1911.6 hectares with an estimated population of 29,046. Parit Sulong is a small town in Batu Pahat District, Johor, Malaysia on the Simpang Kiri River, east of Muar. Tangkak ( Jawi: تڠكق) is a town and the capital of Tangkak District in Johor, Malaysia. The town is nicknamed "Fabric Town" or "Syurga Kain" in honour of its many textile shops. Muar Second Bridge (Malay: ''Jambatan Kedua Muar'' Jawi: ''جمبتن كدوا موار'') is a famous landmark in Muar, Johor, Malaysia. It crosses the Muar River. History Between the 1990s to 2000s, traffic congestion was prevalent at the Sultan Ismail Bridge since the official opening of the North–South Expressway Southern Route between Ayer Keroh and Pagoh and the opening of the Tangkak and Pagoh Interchange on April 1, 1989.
