''Johnny Banco'' is a 1967 comedy crime film directed by Yves Allégret and starring Horst Buchholz, Sylva Koscina and Michel de Ré.Bock & Bergfelder p.67 It was made as a co-production between France, Italy and West Germany. Yves Allégret (13 October 1905 – 31 January 1987) was a French film director, often working in the film noir genre. He was born in Asnières-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine and died in Paris. Crime films, in the broadest sense, is a film genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection. Walter Giller
Walter Giller (23 August 1927 – 15 December 2011) was a German actor. He was very successful in the 1950s and 1960s, when he was often seen as a comedic leading man. One of his most successful and more serious roles was in ''Roses for the Prosecutor''. Giller was born in Recklinghausen. In 1956, he married actress Nadja Tiller; they had two children and appeared together in a number of films. The couple resided in Lugano, Switzerland for many years. In 2009, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He underwent a major (but unsuccessful) operation. He died in Hamburg in 2011, aged 84. Romain Bouteille (24 March 1937 – 31 May 2021) was a French playwright, actor, comedian, and singer. Biography Romain Bouteille is the author of nearly thirty plays of anarchist inspiration. In 1968, he met Coluche. Together, they founded the troupe Café de la Gare. The same year, he separated from his partner Sotha who married Patrick Dewaere. Both are members of the troupe. Bouteille was married to the actress Saïda Churchill, with whom he has lived for thirty years. After spending three years in Marseilles where their son Shams was born, in 1997, they settled in Beauce, in Étampes.
