Johnnie Troutman
Johnnie Troutman (born November 11, 1987) is a former American football guard. Troutman was drafted with the 149th pick in the 5th round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He is credited with having the slowest 40-yard dash time, at 5.76 seconds. Early life Troutman attended Pemberton Township High School in Pemberton, New Jersey where he played on both offensive and defensive lines. College career Redshirted in 2007, Troutman played at Penn State from 2008 to 2011. Guard (American Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through.
