John Yeamans (politician)
John Yeamans (c.1735 – 1824) was a political figure in New Brunswick. He represented Queen's in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1786 to 1816. As a loyalist, he fled to New Brunswick from Dutchess County, New York Dutchess County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 295,911. United Empire Loyalists (or simply Loyalists) is an honorific title which was first given by the 1st Lord Dorchester, the Governor of Quebec, and Governor General of The Canadas, to American Loyalists who resettled in British North America during or after the American Revolution.
