	John Woolford (muse) John Woolford (30 May 1920 – 9 August 2016) was the muse, confidant and the first romantic interest of the composer Benjamin Britten. He was born Karl Hermann Scherchen, nicknamed "Wulff", in Berlin, the son of the German conductor Hermann Scherchen. Britten and Scherchen first met at the International Society for Contemporary Music Festival in Florence in March 1934, when Scherchen was 13 and there only because of his father's professional commitments. The 20-year-old Britten was there to attend performances of his own music. They became friends, even sharing one raincoat between the two of them in the Siena rain, but did not stay in contact after the festival. Following her divorce and to escape the rise of Nazism in Germany, Wulff Scherchen's mother Gustel brought him in 1934 to England, where they settled in Cambridge. 	John L John Lasarus Williams (29 October 1924 – 15 June 2004), known as John L, was a Welsh nationalist activist. Williams was born in Llangoed on Anglesey, but lived most of his life in nearby Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. In his youth, he was a keen footballer, and he also worked as a teacher. His activism started when he campaigned against the refusal of Brewer Spinks, an employer in Blaenau Ffestiniog, to permit his staff to speak Welsh. 	John Elliott Woolford John Elliott Woolford (1779-1866) was employed as a draftsman by George Ramsay, 9th Earl of Dalhousie, when he served under him in Egypt, and, later when he served as Colonial Governor in Canada. Some of his work is held by the National Gallery of Canada. Woolford joined the Army at 19, and by 1800 he served under Ramsay when he commanded an expedition to Egypt. While in Egypt his skill in drafting came to Ramsay's attention, and Ramsay commissioned him as a full-time draftsman, drawing sketches, or making painting, of important landmarks. Woolford may have been an apprentice at the Drawing Room of the Board of Ordnance. He may have studied under Paul Sandby, professor of drawing at the Royal Military Academy. 	John Wolford John Thomas Wolford (born October 16, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wake Forest and signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2018, and played for the Los Angeles Rams from 2019 to 2022. He has also played for the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football. Early years Wolford was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Jacksonville at an early age where he attended Bishop Kenny High School.
