John Williams (rugby League, Born 1985)
John Williams (born 5 January 1985, in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s. He played as a in the National Rugby League for the Parramatta Eels, Sydney Roosters, North Queensland Cowboys and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. Background Williams is the older brother of Australian international rugby league player, David Williams. He was given the choice to play first grade cricket but instead he chose to play rugby league. Playing career Williams made his first grade debut for Parramatta in round 17 of the 2005 NRL season against South Sydney at Parramatta Stadium scoring a try in a 52–16 victory. Williams made one further appearance that year as the club won the Minor Premiership. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks footy supplements saga was a sports controversy which began in 2011. The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, a professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL). The NRL later offered all five players a one-year ban, backdated to an effective six-month suspension, if they pleaded guilty to taking a banned substance. Sports scientist Stephen Dank provided sworn testimony about what involvement he had at Cronulla and which Staff and coaches were involved. Dank publicly admitted to overseeing a regimen that involved the administration of two growth hormone-releasing peptides, CJC-1295 and GHRP-6. Dank has never faced criminal charges in relation to dealing in or administering the aforementioned peptides. The 2011 NRL season was the 104th season of professional rugby league football club competition in Australia, and the fourteenth and last run by the National Rugby League's partnership committee of the Australian Rugby League and News Ltd. The NRL's main championship, called the 2011 Telstra Premiership due to sponsorship from Telstra, was contested by sixteen teams for the fifth consecutive year.
