John Webb (died 1795)
John Webb (1730? – 4 February 1795) was an English politician. He was the son of Nicholas Webb of Norton Court, near Gloucester and was a ship's husband (an agent appointed by the owner of a ship with the authority to make repairs and attend to the equipment of the ship when in home port) for the East India Company. He was appointed sheriff of Gloucester for 1761–1762 and made mayor for 1770–1771, 1776–1777 and 1786–1787. John Joshua Webb
John Joshua Webb (February 14, 1847 – April 12, 1882) was a noted lawman turned gunfighter and outlaw of the American Old West. Early life Webb was born February 14, 1847, in Keokuk County, Iowa, the seventh of twelve children born to William Webb Jr and Innocent Blue Brown Webb. Webb moved about often in his youth. The family moved to Nebraska in 1862, and later to Osage City, Kansas. Webb headed west on his own in 1871, working as a buffalo hunter and miner along the way. Gunfighter Webb drifted to Dodge City, Kansas, where he came into contact with several notable personalities of the old west, including Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. While there, he took part as a member of several posses and served as a deputy. By January 1878, Bat Masterson was the newly appointed sheriff of Ford County. Masterson deputized Webb and two others, Kinch Riley and Dave "Prairie Dog" Morrow, to track down outlaws who had robbed a train.

John Beavor-Webb
John Beavor-Webb (1849 - March 11, 1927) was a British and American naval architect. He was a designer of sailing yachts, including Partridge 1885, a UK National Historic Ship and the America's Cup challengers Genesta (yacht), ''Genesta'' (1884) and Galatea (yacht), ''Galatea'' (1885). John Beavor-Webb began his career in England but later worked in the U.S.A. where he designed very large steamyachts like J.P. Morgan's USS Gloucester (1891), ''Corsair II'' (1891) and USS Oceanographer (AGS-3), ''Corsair III'' (1899). Beavor-Webb was worth "more than $20,000" by the time of his death. John Webb (composer)
John Webb (born 1969) is an English composer. Biography He was educated in Essex where he started playing the piano and viola. He began to compose at 14, and two years later attended Colchester Institute. Here he studied piano with Frank Wibaut and composition with John Joubert at the Birmingham Conservatoire. As a founding member of the Thallein Ensemble, he performed works by Berio, Messiaen, Finnissy, Ives and Schnittke. In his final year he completed a dissertation on Schnittke's polystylism and was the soloist in his piano concerto. After graduating from Birmingham Conservatoire with a first class degree, he studied for three years at the Royal Academy of Music with Christopher Brown. In his last year he was Leverhulme Composition Fellow and won the major composition prizes; he graduated with MMus and DipRAM. John Webb (1754–1828) was an English landscape designer, who also trained as an architect. He studied under William Emes between 1782 and 1793, and then established his own practice.
