John Waldron (politician)
John Waldron is an American politician and educator serving as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives from the 77th district. He assumed office on November 16, 2018. Early life and education Waldron is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Virginia from 1986 to 1990, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations. In 1991 he started his master's degree in international relations at George Washington University while working at the School Without Walls in Washington, D.C. He completed his master's in 1995. Teaching career Waldron began his teaching career at the School Without Walls in Washington, D.C. in 1991 and would work there until 1999. In 1999, he returned to Tulsa and started working as a social studies teacher at Booker T. Washington High School. From 2011 to 2013 he was also the president of the United Nations Association. The Oklahoma House of Representatives is the lower house of the legislature of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Its members introduce and vote on bills and resolutions, provide legislative oversight for state agencies, and help to craft the state's budget.
