John W. Rollins
John William Rollins (August 24, 1916 – April 4, 2000) was an American businessman and politician from Greenville, Delaware. He was a member of the Republican Party and served as the 14th Lieutenant Governor of Delaware. He founded or acquired nine companies, mostly in the automotive and communication sectors, all traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Early life and family John W. Rollins was born in Keith, Catoosa County, Georgia, the son of John William Rollins and Claudia Nance Rollins, a farmer father and a schoolteacher mother. He attended school in a one-room schoolhouse nine miles away in Ringgold, Georgia. In 1928, Rollins's father fell ill and the 12-year-old boy accepted additional responsibilities on the family farm. Lieutenant Governor Of Delaware
The lieutenant governor of Delaware is the second ranking executive officer of the U.S. state of Delaware. Lieutenant governors are elected for a term of four years in the same general election as the U.S. president and take office the following January. As in many other U.S. state legislatures, the lieutenant governor also serves as the President of the Delaware Senate, though they can only issue a vote if there is a tie on any vote. The Office of Lieutenant Governor was created by the Delaware Constitution of 1897, and the first election took place in 1900. Although in practice the candidate for lieutenant governor is nominated as a ticket with the candidate for governor, the offices of governor and lieutenant governor are voted on separately in Delaware. Radford (formerly Lovely Mount, Central City, English Ferry and Ingle's Ferry) is an independent city in the U.S. state of Virginia. Sir Francis Moncrieff Kerr-Jarrett (27 August 1885 – 13 December 1968) was a sugar manufacturer and landowner in Jamaica. He served as Custos Rotulorum of Saint James Parish, Jamaica (1933–65) and was also chairman of the Jamaica Sugar Manufacturers' Association from 1930 to 1945. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Jamaica from 1919 to 1921. Kerr-Jarrett remains the longest serving Custos of Saint James Parish, Jamaica and was integral to the development of Montego Bay as a tourist resort. Early life Kerr-Jarrett was the son of the Hon.
