John Truby
John Truby (born 1952) is an American screenwriter, director, screenwriting teacher and author. He has served as a consultant on over 1,000 film scripts over the past three decades, and is also known for the screenwriting software program Blockbuster (originally "Storyline Pro"). He is the author of ''Anatomy of Story: 22 Steps to Becoming a Master Storyteller'', a book about screenwriting skills. Screenwriting career In the 1980s, Truby received his first credits, writing three episodes of '' 21 Jump Street'', as well as serving as a story editor. He later received a co-writer credit on the 2011 Disneynature documentary film ''African Cats''. A portion of the proceeds for the film were donated to the African Wildlife Foundation and their effort to preserve Kenya's Amboseli Wildlife Corridor. Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is a national park in Loitoktok District in Kajiado County, Kenya. It is in size at the core of an ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. It harbours 400 species of birds including water birds like pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hamerkop and 47 raptor species. The local people are mainly Maasai. The park protects two of the five main swamps and includes a dried-up Pleistocene lake and semiarid vegetation. History In 1883, Jeremy Thompson was the first European to penetrate the feared Maasai region known as ''Empusel'' (meaning 'salty, dusty place' in Maa). Syd Field
Sydney Alvin Field (December 19, 1935November 17, 2013) was an American author who wrote several books on screenwriting, the first being '' Screenplay: The Foundations of Screenwriting'' (Dell Publishing, 1979). He led workshops and seminars about producing salable screenplays. Hollywood film producers use Field's ideas on structure to measure the potential of screenplays. The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is an international conservation organization created with the intent of preserving Africa's wildlife, wild lands, and natural resources.
