John T. Dunlap
Fra' John Timothy Dunlap (born 1957) is the Lieutenant of the Grand Master and head of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta since 13 June 2022. Education and career Dunlap was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ottawa and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Western Ontario. He also studied at the University of Nice. Dunlap is admitted to the New York State Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association. In 1986 he joined the New York legal firm Dunnington, Bartholow & Miller. He became a partner in 1993. He specializes in corporate and immigration law. He is legal advisor to the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations. Order of Malta Dunlap was admitted as a Knight of Magistral Grace of the Order of Malta in 1996. Certosa Di San Giacomo
Certosa di San Giacomo was a Carthusian monastery, founded in 1363 by Giacomo Arcucci on the island of Capri, Campania, southern Italy. It is now a museum and is used for cultural events. The buildings that formed the charterhouse have three main areas: the pharmacy and women's church, the buildings for monks, and those for guests. The cloister (''Chiostro Grande'') is of a late Renaissance design, while the ''Chiostro Piccolo'' features Roman marble columns. History Count Giacomo Arcucci, a secretary to Joan I of Naples, established the charterhouse in 1371. He later became a monk himself in 1386. The Knights of Justice or Professed Knights, form the first of the three classes of members of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta together with the professed conventual chaplains.
