John Skevin
John M. Skevin (June 14, 1927 – October 18, 1993) was an American Democratic Party politician who served in both houses of the New Jersey Legislature. Early life and education Born in West New York, New Jersey, Skevin attended Memorial High School (West New York, New Jersey), Memorial High School and graduated from St. John's University (New York City), St. John's University and St. John's University School of Law after completing his military service in the United States Army. Political career Skevin lost his first bid for Assemblyman in 1963. He was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly in 1965, but was defeated for re-election two years later by Republicans William Crane (New Jersey politician), William Crane and Michael Ferrara. He ran again in 1969, but lost the Democratic primary to incumbent Lee Carlton and Vincente Tibbs. The New Jersey Legislature is the legislative branch of the government of the U.S. state of New Jersey. In its current form, as defined by the New Jersey Constitution of 1947, the Legislature consists of two houses: the General Assembly and the Senate. History Colonial period The New Jersey Legislature was established in 1702 upon the surrender by the Proprietors of East Jersey and those of West Jersey of the right of government to Queen Anne. Paul Contillo
Paul J. Contillo (born July 8, 1929) is an American Democratic Party politician who represented the Bergen County-based 38th Legislative District in the New Jersey State Legislature during three separate tenures. Career Contillo served as a Councilman in Paramus, New Jersey from 1971 to 1973. He was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly in 1973, entering the race after the Democratic nominee, Paramus Councilman Alphonso DeFilippo dropped out of the race after the primary. Riding the Watergate Democratic landslide, Contillo and his running mate, incumbent Assemblyman Edward Hynes defeated Republican Assemblyman Charles Reid and attorney Ralph W. Chandless Jr. Contillo was the top votegetter and won by more than 8,000 votes. He sought re-election to a second term in 1975, running with Hasbrouck Heights Councilman Robert Burns after Hynes chose not to run. John Bryn Williams (born 1977), known as John B, is an English disc jockey and electronic music producer. He is widely recognised for his eccentric clothing and wild hair and his production of several cutting edge drum and bass tracks.
