John Senyonyi
John Musisi Senyonyi is a mathematician, academic, evangelist and academic administrator in Uganda. He is the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Uganda Christian University, a private university that was accredited by the ''Uganda National Council of Higher Education'' (UNCHE), in 1997. He was appointed to that position in 2010. Following ten continuous years in that position, he resigned, and handed over to Aaron Mushengyezi, in August 2020. Background and education He was born in Nakasongola District, in 1956, to Eriakimu Kajja, a schoolteacher and Mrs. Kajja, a full-time housewife. He is one of thirteen siblings. One of his brothers the late Peter Nyombi, Uganda's former Attorney General and former Member of Parliament for "Buruuli County" in Nakasongola District. Nakasongola District
Nakasongola District is a district in the Central Region of Uganda. The town of Nakasongola is the site of the district's administrative headquarters. Location Nakasongola District is bordered by Apac District to the north-west, Amolatar District to the north-east, Kayunga District to the east, Luweero District to the south, Nakaseke District to the south-west, and Masindi District to the north-west. Uganda Christian University (UCU) is a private church-founded university administered by the Church of Uganda. Church Of Uganda
The Church of Uganda is a member province of the Anglican Communion. Currently there are 37 dioceses which make up the Church of Uganda, each headed by a bishop. Each diocese is divided into archdeaconries, each headed by a senior priest known as an archdeacon. The archdeaconries are further subdivided into parishes, headed by a parish priest. Parishes are subdivided into sub-parishes, headed by lay readers. As of the 2014 Census, 32% of Ugandans consider themselves affiliated with the church, down from 36.7% at the 2002 Census. Makerere University
Makerere University, Kampala (; Mak) is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922. It became an independent national university in 1970. Today, Makerere University is composed of nine colleges and one school offering programmes for about 36,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates. Kings College Budo
King’s College Budo is a mixed, residential, secondary school in Central Uganda (Buganda). Location The school is located on Naggalabi Hill, in southern Wakiso District, off the Kampala-Masaka Road. Parliament Of Uganda
The parliament of Uganda is the country's legislative body. Unicameral, the most significant of the Ugandan parliament's functions is to pass laws that will provide good governance in the country. The government ministers are bound to answer to the people's representatives on the floor of the house. Through the various parliamentary committees, parliament scrutinises government programmes, particularly as outlined in the ''State of the Nation'' address by the president. The fiscal issues of the government, such as taxation and loans need the sanction of the parliament, after appropriate debate.
