John Sanders (architect)
John Sanders (1768-1826) was an architect and the first pupil of Sir John Soane taken on 1 September 1784. Sanders was born on 12 April 1768, the son of Thomas Sanders, a tallow-chandler of the parish of St Dunstan-in-the-East, London. He died at Reigate, Surrey early in 1826. John Sanders is an American sports broadcaster, with over 25 years' experience commentating Major League Baseball games. He spent 16 years as a television announcer for the Cleveland Indians. Previously, he was on both television and radio broadcasts for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He currently broadcasts Big East football and basketball games. Career Sanders, a Kansas native, worked at WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas. John Oswald Sanders (October 17, 1902—October 24, 1992) was a general director of Overseas Missionary Fellowship (then known as China Inland Mission) in the 1950s and 1960s. John Derek Sanders OBE, FRCO (23 November 1933 – 23 December 2003) was an English organist, conductor, choir trainer and composer. He was organist of Gloucester Cathedral from 1967 to 1994, and director of the Three Choirs Festival from 1968 to 1994. Education Born in Wanstead, Essex he attended Felsted School on a music scholarship, where he had his first organ lessons. In 1950 he began two years study at the Royal College of Music leading to his ARCM diploma. Here he was taught by Sir John Dykes Bower, the then organist at St Paul's Cathedral. This was followed by a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Cambridge where Sanders was an organ scholar at Gonville and Caius College and was influenced by Patrick Hadley. John Frank Sanders (November 20, 1945 – February 3, 2022) was an American professional baseball scout, Major League Baseball player for the Kansas City Athletics, a manager at the pro level, and a college baseball coach. He was the longtime (1978–1997) head baseball coach of the University of Nebraska, where his teams won a school-record 767 games. John Sanders (1750–1825) was an English painter. Biography Sanders was born in London in 1750. He appears to have been the son of John Saunders, a pastel-painter of merit, who practised at Norwich, Stourbridge in Worcestershire, and elsewhere. Sanders was a student at the Royal Academy in 1769, and earned a silver medal in 1770. He first appears as an exhibitor at the Royal Academy in 1771, when he sent a portrait and ''A Philosopher''. In 1772 he exhibited ''St. Sebastian'' and a portrait; in 1773 ''Jael and Sisera'' and three portraits; and continued to exhibit pictures in oil and crayon, and drawings, for some years. During these years he was resident in Great Ormond Street, and in 1775 appears in the catalogue of the Royal Academy as ''John Saunders, junior.'' John Maurice "Deac" Sanders (born January 11, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois) is a former American football defensive back in the National Football League. Sanders played college football at South Dakota. He was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 1974 and played with them for 3 years, first as a cornerback and then as a free safety. John Holloway Sanders FRIBA (1825 – 16 October 1884) was an architect based in England and chief architect of the Midland Railway until 1884. His date of appointment as Chief Architect to the Midland Railway is not known, but he is recorded as working for them in 1845. He is particularly noted for his station buildings on the Settle to Carlisle railway which were all built in a similar style, they became known colloquially as ''Midland Gothic'' or ''Derby Gothic''.
