Bo Rowland
John Howell "Bo" Rowland (March 20, 1903 – September 23, 1964) was an American football player and coach of football and basketball. He served as the head football coach at Henderson-Brown College—now Henderson State University (1925–1930), Ouachita Baptist University (1931), The Citadel (1940–1942), Oklahoma City University (1946–1947), and George Washington University (1948–1951), compiling a career college football coaching record of 90–47–7. Rowland was also the head basketball coach at Henderson-Brown from 1925 to 1931 and at Cornell University from 1936 to 1938, tallying a career college basketball coaching mark of 40–58. Sir John Alexander Macdonald (January 10 or 11, 1815 – June 6, 1891) was the first prime minister of Canada, serving from 1867 to 1873 and from 1878 to 1891. The dominant figure of Canadian Confederation, he had a political career that spanned almost half a century. Macdonald was born in Scotland; when he was a boy his family immigrated to Kingston in the Province of Upper Canada (today in eastern Ontario). As a lawyer, he was involved in several high-profile cases and quickly became prominent in Kingston, which elected him in 1844 to the legislature of the Province of Canada. John Sharpe Rowland
Major John Sharpe Rowland (August 6, 1795 – September 18, 1863) was a wealthy plantations in the American South, planter and politician in antebellum antebellum South Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia. During the American Civil War he served as Superintendent of the Western and Atlantic Railroad. Early life and military service Major Rowland was born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, to Thomas and Mildred Lewis Rowland. His father served in the Revolutionary War. John Rowland (footballer, Born 1941)
John Douglas Rowland (7 April 1941 – 2020) was an English footballer who was known for his powerful 'hammer shot'. A forward, he scored 62 goals in 250 league games in a nine-year career in the Football League. He began his career at Nottingham Forest in 1960, before being sold on to Port Vale for £6,000 in August 1962. In September 1966, he was sold on to Mansfield Town for £6,500. Two years later he joined Tranmere Rovers, before dropping into non-league football with South Shields in 1969; he finished his career at Derry City. His death was announced by Port Vale on 20 November 2020. Career Rowland played for Ironville Amateurs before joining First Division side Nottingham Forest in 1960. He played 26 league games under Andy Beattie in 1960–61 and 1961–62, scoring three goals. He also represented England youth level. John Cambrian Rowland (7 December 1819 – 1890) was a Welsh painter. Rowland was born in Lledrod, Ceredigion, the son of Thomas Rowlands. It appears that he was the first professional artist to live in Aberystwyth. Winchelsea was a parliamentary constituency in Sussex, which elected two Members of Parliament (MPs) to the House of Commons from 1366 until 1832, when it was abolished by the Great Reform Act. History Boundaries Winchelsea was a Cinque Port, rather than a parliamentary borough, but the difference was purely a nominal one, and it was considered an egregious example of a rotten borough. The constituency consisted of the town and parish of Winchelsea, once a market town and port but by the 19th century much reduced in importance, a mile-and-a-half inland with its harbour destroyed.
