John Patrick (footballer, Born 1870)
John Patrick (10 January 1870 – 30 November 1945) was a Scottish footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the 1890s.) Patrick was born in Kilsyth, and after playing for Grangemouth and Falkirk he joined St Mirren. In 1896 he had a trial in the Football League with Everton but he only played one league game before returning to St Mirren, continuing as the regular goalkeeper until 1901 ( Livingstone Rae became the new regular following a year when several players were tried). Patrick made his debut for the Scotland national football team on 20 March 1897 against Wales in Wrexham. His second and final cap for Scotland came two weeks later against England. John Patrick (May 17, 1905November 7, 1995) was an American playwright and screenwriter. Biography He was born John Patrick Goggin in Louisville, Kentucky. His parents soon abandoned him, and he spent a delinquent youth in foster homes and boarding schools. At age 19, he secured a job as an announcer at KPO Radio in San Francisco, California, marrying Mildred Legaye in 1925. He wrote over 1,000 scripts for the '' Cecil and Sally'' radio program (originally titled ''The Funniest Things''), broadcast between 1928 and 1933. The show's sole actors were Patrick and Helen Troy. In 1937, Patrick wrote adaptations for NBC's ''Streamlined Shakespeare'' series, guest-starring Helen Hayes. Produced on a tight budget, his first play, ''Hell Freezes Over'', directed by Joshua Logan, had a brief run on Broadway in 1935. (born John Richbourg, August 20, 1910 - February 15, 1986) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for playing rhythm and blues music on Nashville radio station WLAC. He was also a notable record producer and artist manager. Richbourg was arguably the most popular and charismatic of the four announcers at WLAC who showcased popular African-American music in nightly programs from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. (The other three were Gene Nobles, Herman Grizzard, and Bill "Hoss" Allen.) Later rock music disc jockeys, such as Alan Freed and Wolfman Jack, mimicked Richbourg's practice of using speech that simulated African-American street language of the mid-twentieth century. Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Minster, or the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln and sometimes St Mary's Cathedral, in Lincoln, England, is a Grade I listed cathedral and is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Lincoln. John Patrick (born February 29, 1968) is an American professional basketball coach and former professional basketball player. Career Patrick attended DeMatha Catholic High School, where he played under coach Morgan Wootten, before moving to Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC. He started his college career at Stanford University in 1987. Playing point guard for coach Mike Montgomery, he won the 1991 NIT Championship as a senior. Patrick led Stanford in assists per game in 1989-90 and 1990–91, while making the Pac-10 All-Academic Team his junior and senior year. Upon graduation, Patrick had a 13-year career as a professional basketball player, mostly representing clubs in Japan and Germany.
