John Melville Morrow Jr. (April 27, 1933 – October 21, 2017) was an American football player. He played college football at the University of Michigan from 1953 to 1955 and professional football for the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns from 1956 to 1966. Early years Morrow was born in Port Huron, Michigan, in 1933, attended Ann Arbor High School. University of Michigan Morrow enrolled at the University of Michigan in 1952 and played for Bennie Oosterbaan's Michigan Wolverines football teams from 1953 to 1955. Early life and education He was born near Darlington, Wisconsin. He attended local public schools and the state normal university. John Morrow (peace Activist)
John Morrow (28 June 1931 – 1 January 2009) was a Presbyterian minister and peace activist in Northern Ireland. He was integral in the 1965 founding of the Corrymeela Community, a Christian group committed to promoting peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland. He succeeded Corrymeela's founder Ray Davey as the leader of the community in 1980 and served as its leader until 1993, providing it with a sense of cohesion and direction in its work of ecumenical Christian leadership and help for families during the Troubles. Education Morrow grew up on a dairy farm near Dundonald, on the outskirts of Belfast. John Morrow (1930–2014) was a Northern Ireland short story writer and novelist. He began writing short stories in the 1960s, and his first works were published in The Honest Ulsterman and the Irish Press. Background and Career Morrow was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He left school at the age of 14 to become an apprentice in the linen trade, and later worked as a shipyard navvy and an insurance agent. In 1978, he joined the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, becoming Director of Combined Arts with responsibility for literature and community arts in 1991, retiring in 1995. John Cassell (Jack) Morrow (26 February 1872 – 11 January 1926) was a political cartoonist, illustrator and landscape painter. John Cassell Morrow was born in Belfast in 1872. He was the son of George Morrow, a painter and decorator from Hanover House, Clifton Street, in west Belfast. All but one of his seven brothers were working artists. Morrow was married and had two sons, Donal and Dermot, and a daughter Moppie. Life and work Jack Morrow was the most politically active amongst his siblings and was a regular contributor to ''The Irish Review'', ''The Republic'', and other Irish journals. John Morrow Simms (23 November 1854 – 29 April 1934) was a Presbyterian minister and unionist politician in Northern Ireland. Born in Newtownards, Simms studied at the Belfast Academy, the Coleraine Academical Institution, Queen's University, Belfast, the University of Edinburgh and Leipzig University. In 1882, he was ordained as a Presbyterian Church in Ireland clergyman, and became a British Army chaplain in 1887. He was elected for the Ulster Unionist Party at the July 1922 North Down by-election, and when the seat was abolished later in the year, won a seat in Down, serving until the 1931 UK general election.
