John McLaughlin (footballer, Born 1948)
John Ian McLaughlin (born 3 January 1948) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a left back. Active in Scotland, England and the United States between 1967 and 1977, McLaughlin made 217 career League appearances for three clubs, scoring 13 goals. Career Born in Stirling, McLaughlin played junior football with Gowanhill United. He turned professional in 1967 with Falkirk of the Scottish Football League, spending four seasons with the club before moving to Everton of the English Football League. After five seasons with Everton, McLaughlin spent a season in the North American Soccer League with the Seattle Sounders Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. Stirling
Stirling (; sco, Stirlin; gd, Sruighlea ) is a city in central Scotland, northeast of Glasgow and north-west of Edinburgh. The market town, surrounded by rich farmland, grew up connecting the royal citadel, the medieval old town with its merchants and tradesmen, the Old Bridge and the port. Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. The Sounders compete as a member of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established on November 13, 2007, and began play in 2009 as an MLS expansion team. The Sounders are a phoenix club, carrying the same name as the original Sounders franchise that competed in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1974 to 1983. The club's majority owner is Adrian Hanauer, and its minority owners are the estate of Paul Allen, Drew Carey, and 14 families from the Seattle area.
