John Mara
John K. Mara ( ; born December 1, 1954) is the president, CEO, and co-owner of the New York Giants. Early life Mara was born in New York City and grew up in White Plains, a nearby suburb. He is the eldest son of Ann Mara (née Mumm) and late Giants owner Wellington Mara. Mara graduated from Iona Prep High School in New Rochelle, graduated from Boston College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in marketing, graduating with Cum Laude honors. Mara earned his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1979. He specialized in labor and employment law and litigation at two Manhattan firms prior to joining the Giants. Jack Mara
John V. Mara (March 21, 1908 – June 29, 1965) was a co-owner of the New York Giants, an American football team that plays in the National Football League. Jack was the son of Elizabeth "Lizette" (née Barclay) and Tim Mara and brother of Wellington, and served as the team's president for 24 years. He and Wellington inherited the team upon their father's death in 1959. He graduated from Fordham University in 1933 with a law degree. However, he never became a practicing lawyer, instead joining the Giants as team president. In 1934 he married Helen Phelan, daughter of New York State Athletic Commission chairman John J. Phelan.
