John Lovett (American Politician)
John Lovett (February 20, 1761 in Newent Society, New London County, Connecticut – August 12, 1818 in Fort Meigs, Wood County, Ohio) was an American politician from New York. Life Lovett graduated from Yale College in 1782. He moved to Albany, New York, and thence to Fort Miller, where he was employed as general agent and land steward. Then he moved to Lansingburgh. He was member from Rensselaer County of the New York State Assembly in 1800-01. Afterwards he returned to Albany and was Clerk of the Common Council until the outbreak of the War of 1812 during which he was military secretary to Gen. Stephen Van Rensselaer IV. Lovett was wounded at the Battle of Queenston in October 1812, and returned to Albany. He was Clerk of Albany County from 1813 to 1815. John Lovett (born December 1, 1950) is an American football coach He was the defensive backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL) from 2013–2014. He was the defensive coordinator for Maine in 1994, Auburn from 1999–2001, Clemson from 2002–2004, Bowling Green from 2005–2006, and Miami from 2009–2010. Lovett has coached in nine bowl games: the 1997 Motor City Bowl, 1998 Independence Bowl, 2000 Citrus Bowl, 2001 Peach Bowl, 2002 Tangerine Bowl, 2004 Peach Bowl, 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl, 2009 Champs Sports Bowl, the 2010 Sun Bowl, and the 2012 Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas. John Lovett (born April 25, 1996) is an American football fullback who is a free agent. He played college football at Princeton. College career Lovett was used as a quarterback, running back, and wide receiver at Princeton. As a senior, he compiled 1,833 yards, 18 touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing 141 times for 894 yards and 13 touchdowns.
