John Loebs
John Loebs (September 10, 1853 – after 1930) was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Biography Loebs was born on September 10, 1853 in Sherman, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, the son of Lewis Loebs and Christina Elizabeth née Saeman."Wisconsin, County Marriages, 1836-1911," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XR2J-NGY : 3 June 2016), John Loebs and Ella Mary Denniston, 27 Oct 1880; citing , Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, United States, Wisconsin Historical Society, Madison; FHL microfilm 1,266,977. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives.
